May 27, 2014 Monthly Project

Just a quick post today to show the picture for the second Ariel underwater layout.  I did see on Pintrest a layout with Ariel elbows on rock which set my creative juices flowing and here is my creation.  Nothing like the inspiration but I am very happy with the outcome. Hope you are able to join me for this fun class.  Lots of inking, and stickles (glitter glue) plus borders, glitter paper, and just fun things to create our layouts.  I did add some bubbles (rain dots by Cloud 9) to the layout but the picture I took wasn't great so sticking with the photo above.  The weather is finally spring like and the sunshine always brightens the spirit.  Happy crafting everyone.

May 13, 2014 Monthly Project

The layout design was inspired by a design entitled Ariel that I saw on Pinterest by Carla, the avid scrapbooker.  Thank you Carla for sharing your amazing design!  Of course I changed things up but her design was absolutely wonderful.  I encourage everyone to checkout her blog - the avid scrapbooker.  I believe she also offers some of her layouts for sale on Etsy.  Hope you are able to join me on this fun layout.  PS I did add some Cloud 9 Rain Dots in the color sky to add bubbles to the layout and a pearl to the shell title - after the picture was taken (is there any other way?).  Stay well and enjoy the great spring weather (finally) everyone!!!

July 8, 2012 Project Class

As promised I will be adding a craft along with a scrapbook page, starting this July.  Shown above are the July projects.  We are making a fabric applique for a beach bag and a 1 page beach layout and using our Cricut markers to highlight titles and images on the  scrapbook page.  Hope everyone is having a good week.   Update on June 27, 2012:  I see I failed to say we are using the cartridge " Life is a Beach", which has many awesome travel and summer time images.  Looking foward to seeing everyone on July 8.

August 2010 Cricut Workshop

Did you ever just get pulled, compelled to create a layout? Well that is how the layout for this class began. There was a wonderful photo of my 2 grandchildren at the ocean. This seemed to epitomize the phrase "Life is a Beach". I began to play on my Gypsy to create the design. Once I had the draft, then the paper selection process started. I knew I would use the cartridge Life is a Beach. The second project was a to cut fabric letters and place on a bag. Sometimes the creative process for me is quick and other times dreadfully slow. This makes it very hard to give alot of advance notice to potential students because my creative process may take many twists and turns before I am satisfied. As luck would have it I did have sufficient students to run this class and we had a great time! Students showed me their interpretations of the projects which I just love!! Life is a beach and I'm glad I get to play in the waters.
