October 22 and October 29, 2013 Monthly Cards

 

 

Variety of  card which were completed over 2 class sessions - Oct 22 and Oct 29.  We completed a slider card (witch on broom), an action wobble card (vampire), a side step card, and witches boots accented with a spider web punch.  Lots of fun to create and used a variety of cartridges, including using the new universal overlay.  Hope you can join in November for some Thanksgiving and other holiday cards.





October 7, 2012 Monthly Cricut Project

Hi everyone.  I am repeating a 2 page layout which I did in 2010 for the October 7, 2012 monthly project class.  We are using Happy Haunting and Paper Doll Dress Up.  These cartridges are really awesome and offer a wonderful variety of images plus the fonts on Happy Haunting are outstanding.  Fall is around the corner and what a great time to start back scrapbooking all our vacation pictures and our creating all our holiday cards and decorations. September 9, 2012 Monthly Card Class

Shown above are the 2 card styles we will be making for the September 9 class.  One is a split side step card and that is the Happy Fall card.  This card style adds all sorts of dimension to your card and will be fun for the recipient too.  I decorated this card using my Cricut and the following cartridges: Simply Charmed, Paper Doll Dress Up (for the fence only) and County Life.  Oh, yes, you can see I had some fun with the honeycomb paper on this card.   The second card style is a slider card.  We will use our paper trimmer to create the slider window.  I had some of the new K & Co Brenda Walton  fun dimensional Halloween stickers and small mat pad which was perfect for this project.  As always, you can use stamps, stickers, Cricut, Spellbinders, Sizzix, etc to create the images for your card styles.  Hope you are able to join me for this class.

March 2011 Cricut Project

Here are the cards from the March 1 Cricut Monthly Project workshop. Starting at the top of this post, there is a double fold bunny card, a wiper leprechan card, a slider monkey card, a pocket baby chick card, and finally an easel bee card. As always the class content is overfull which means some of the cards will need to be completed at home. So, for the April 5 monthly project class there will be a 2 page layout which I think everyone can finish during the 2.5 hr. class. I will have Gypsy instructions available for those who wish to their Gyspy for the project. Hope you are able to join us. Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday! I really enjoyed seeing your projects and hearing all your Cricut crafting adventures.

October 2010 Cricut Workshop

Ok, I thought this will be a Halloween themed something. When I originally envisioned this class there was no "Happy Haunting" or any 2010 Fall seasonal cartridges - the best cartridge with Halloween content was Paper Doll Dress Up. I had wanted to do something with magnets and clothes for magnets but with a twist. The store offers Darice magnetic canvas so I decided to create magnet with this material. Also, I wanted to use the markers to create the detailed skelton costume - showing off all this detail. Once I saw Happy Haunting I wanted to create a layout. The result is the 2 page Halloween Delights and Halloween magnets with costumes. As you can probably see, I "overfill" the content of these classes. While we may not finish everything within the 2.5 hours, the students have advised the instructions are sufficient to complete the projects at home. The featured cartridges for this month were Paper Doll Dress Up and Happy Haunting. Did I say again how much I love teaching!!! Thank you to all who take my classes and give me this opportunity.
