Upcoming 2011 projects - February, March, April

I have a bit of a cold today and thought a posting to my blog would be a nice pick me up. My plans for the February, March and April projects are pretty much finalized. In February we will do a 2 page layout using Sweethearts and Storybook cartridges, plus make some window clings, and possibly a bookmark or gift tag with holder. In March we are doing cards that move -- and there will be 5 different styles. Since there are new seasonal cartridges - April Showers, Spring Holiday Cards, Mothers Day Bouquet - and assuming J's will carry these items, I thought we might want to use some for the March cards. Of course I will let you know once the cartridge list is firm. Finally, a 2 page layout for April plus a little something extra. The cartridges for April will be Storybook, Everyday Paper Dolls, and Designers Calendar. It is my intention to use techniques that we cover in the advanced techniques class or, perhaps, something new. Another item I am considering is adding Gypsy and/or Cricut Design Studio instructions as part of the instruction materials since many students have, or plan to have, one of these products and it would give them projects to learn/reinforce tool features. What do you think? I also have started to repeat some cartridges in the projects so we don't always have to rush out to purchase new cartridges - even though that is alot of fun! For those attending class tomorrow night, see you then. Happy cricuting.

  1. Happy New Year Susan!
I purchased Designer Studio for myself as a Christmas gift but I haven't used it yet. I would love for you to add DS instructions in your classes!

  2. Kellee-- Nice to hear from you. Congrats on the new software, it is very nice and will let you do so much more with your Cricut. I was thinking about adding Design Studio set of instructions too, so I may do this for February workshop. I do have a Design Studio class but have not offered recently due to low demand.
