July 12, 2017 Cricut Project

Beginning a series of wedding layout pages.  This month are two 1 page layout.  I used many Close to my Heart Cricut cartridges to create these layout.  Using some special functions available in the Cricut Design Space software to create special elements in the Wedding layout.

August 2016 - bonus project

Just a fun way to resume the Cricut layout classes this August, 2016.  As many of you know this has been a crazy, stressful but wonderful year.  I am so pleased to have my husband here and doing so well with his new heart pump.  It is not easy and we both get frustrated but we are forever grateful to have more time.  Dennis is golfing in full swing (literally) and enjoying a new found energy.  We never know what is in store for us on our life journey but a positive attitude and divine assistance is helping us move forward.  Thank you!!!

October 4 2015 Cricut Project

August 9 2015 Monthly Cricut Project

Here is the monthly project for August.  This date is tentative and I will confirm in the June 14 2015 class.  Given the store calendar, vacation plans and other scheduling issues we agreed to resume classes in August.  This may be the last Pooh and Friends layout and then off to Best of Pixar.  Hope everyone is enjoying the summer. 

June 14 2015 Monthly Cricut Project

Here is the double page layout for June.  Given the store calendar, vacation schedules and other considerations this will be the only class for June.  No class in July based on the same considerations.  Hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful summer weather.

May 31, 2015 Cricut Monthly Project

Confirmed date for the next double page layout.  This will be a Tigger layout.  I just have to say this Pooh and Friends cartridge has been so much fun.  All cuts have come out very nicely and there are not many layers to make some fantastic images.  Love it.  By the way, there is a new Gypsy update so if you haven't done it in a long time (like me) go for it.  The update didn't take a long time and everything went well.  Update -- I just tried to use my gypsy at May 17 2015 class and it would not connect to the E2 machine.  I will continue to update this post based on some further testing.  Stay tuned and fingers crossed!!! OK just a quick update on the Gypsy.  It works fine with both my Expression and Expression 2.  The issue was with the connection port on my E2 and nothing to do with the Gypsy.  I corrected the connection port issue (all by myself!) and it read everything just fine.  I am giving a Gypsy class tomorrow (6/16/2015) at the store -- per special request.

May 17, 2015 Monthly Cricut Project

Confirmed date for the next Pooh and Friends layout.  The double page layout is shown above.  I think we may have 2 more Pooh and Friends layouts.  I plan to do a Tigger double page layout for May 31, 2015 -- tentative class date. It seems like Spring has finally arrived so happy!!! Hope everyone is having a super day.

May 3, 2015 Monthly Cricut Project

We will be continuing Pooh and Friends layouts for at least 2 more sessions.  This date has been confirmed with the students.  We had a great turnout at the April 19 class - 5 students.  Awesome and so fun!! Tentative dates for the balance of May - May 17 and May 31.  I will create blog posts once confirmed with the students.  Have a super week.

April 19 2015 Monthly Cricut Project

This date is tentative.  I will confirm during class tomorrow, since this is Palm Sunday.  The store is closed on April 5, 2015 - Easter Sunday and there are other events planned for April 12 and April 26 so the next available Sunday is April 19.  This class will move to that date if desired by the group.  As you can see we are continuing the Pooh and Friends cartridge and gathering some of the mat accents from Elegant Edges.  All patterned papers are from Lawn Fawn Beachside Pint Sized collection - 2015.  Hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of the spring weather.  I am certainly ready for the warmer temperatures.  See you in class or out crafty shopping in the stores.

March 22, 2015 or March 25, 2015 Monthly Cricut Project

Just beginning a series of layouts using Pooh and Friends cartridge and some accents with Elegant Edges.  Lots of super cute images and not difficult to assemble.

September 9 2014 Monthly Project

It is hard to believe that I am planning classes for September 2014.  Well we are continuing with the Tinker Bell and Friends cartridge.  Tinker Bell, Fawn, Rosita, Iridessa and Silvermist will each have their own page.  Each page will have lots of glitter paper, flourishes and gemstone accents.  Most of the glitter paper for the Fawn layout is from the Recollections Brights or Pastels or Metallics paper pads.  I have enjoyed creating the fairy movement using the rhinestone flourishes.  I hope you are able to join me in class.  It will be lots of fun.

October 1, 2013 Monthly Project

Ok I know it is the Halloween month but I have so many Disney layouts in my head and lots of pictures so I will be continuing this theme for a little longer.  I will continue to make cards which definitely reflect the season and holidays.  Look for future posts with my cards even though I have discontinued classes at the moment.  Hope everyone is having a super day!!!

September 24, 2013 Monthly Project

Still working on the layouts for my Disney pictures.  For those of you that have lots of Disney pictures please join me on September 24.  Hope everyone is continuing to enjoy their summer.

August 6, 2013 Monthly Project

This was a layout I created for my youngest granddaughter, who is a sweet little princess. I had so much fun adding inking, stamping, and lots of embossing to the die cuts.  Also it was such fun to embellish those princess dresses with pearls and gemstones.   The titles and picture frames I used the "wow" glitter papers which are wonderful to use in the Cricut.  Looking forward to seeing all who are able to join me for this class.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!

April 2 or April 7, 2013 Monthly Project Class

We will be creating two 1 page layouts.  One layout has the element of whimsy and the other layout is inspired by a card I saw on you tube done by Gloria Dasher (Spyrorocks346).  Realistically you will be able to cut and assemble one layout during the 2.5 hours.  Hopefully you can cut the second layout and assemble as much as possible during the class and finish at home. 

April 7, 2013 Monthly Card Class

We will make a shaped cards and include stamping and dry embossing.  I am using a method for a shaped card that I saw on Card Creations by Lorraine's blog.  There is lots of inspiration and useful tutorials on her blog so you may want to check it out. Hope you all are having a wonderful day!

January 6, 2013 Monthly Project

I have tentatively planned for 2 - 1 page layouts.  One will be whimsy, using Create a Critter 2, and have a Happy New Year theme, the other will be with A Quilted Christmas, and be a January theme.  I will need to complete the layouts soon because my beloved Gypsy will have to go back to PC.  I have had my Gypsy since launch and the battery is just tuckered out.  I purchased a new Gypsy and will begin the re - serialization process once it arrives. Hope everyone is having a wonderful fall. 

November 4, 2012 Monthly Cricut Project

We will be using one of the new cricut cartridges, Create a Critter 2, to create the 1 page layout.  This is a very cute cartridge with lots of wonderful phrases, appropriate for all holidays, and holiday details/outfits for all critters.   By the way, even if you do not like whimsy, create a critter 2 is wonderful for all the holiday embellishments.  Our craft will be a holiday magnet decorated with vinyl.  The store has a nice selection of vinyl colors next to the open stock paper - definitely worth checking out.  I will post a picture of the magnet, later this week.
